October 20, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Traces of the Trade

When filmmaker Katrina Browne discovers that her New England ancestors were the largest slave-trading family in U.S. history, she and nine cousins retrace the Triangle Trade and gain powerful new perspectives on the black/white divide. Browne, who testified in June at the House Judiciary Committee hearing on reparations, will discuss issues of racism today following the screening of Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North.
