Are you curious about opera but think it’s expensive and stuffy? It doesn’t have to be! This class dispels the mystery surrounding opera and makes this genre accessible to anyone. We’ll discuss the basics, including key terms and a breakdown of what’s happening on stage and in the music and text. We’ll also look at the original invention of opera and its development throughout history. You’ll walk away with the skills to enjoy, understand, and talk about opera like an expert, without actually being one.
