The first talk of The New School’s Sociology Department’s Fall lecture series will be presented by Nick Couldry and Ulises Ali Mejías.

This talk will introduce the argument of the speakers’ new book, The Costs of Connection: How Data Colonizes Human Life and Appropriates it for Capitalism (Stanford University Press, August 2019) and foreground its implications for the social world and social knowledge.
