Bookbinding Workshop with Chang Yuchen

Asia Art Archive in America invites you to experience a hands-on exploration of the physical structure and metaphorical possibilities of the book form. This workshop will include a brief introduction to the history of artists’ books and highlights from AAA-A’s artists’ book collection, as well as three styles of bookbinding: Hidden Book, 3-hole Pamphlet, and Stab-binding. The workshop will be led by Chang Yuchen, an artist, bookmaker, and co-author of Book Book / 书书. Bookbinding tools and materials will be provided for all participants.
